His like for the monochromatic-with-golden-accented stallion increased manifold as his speech continued to be simple, and easy for the bay to understand. Gaucho both literally and practically did not understand why so many creatures used such flowery and unnecessary language when they were communicating. Perhaps simply miscommunication was the reason for so much conflict in the world - but then again, without brutality, there would be no need for warrior's such as He, so maybe it wasn't such a bad thing. But it definitely wasn't for Gaucho. But would he need to learn? Back home, he was a warrior in his band - he left the speaking to others. The only really complex phrases he knew came from their shaman, and he wasn't entirely sure what language it was.

"My-dus" He said slowly, trying to replicate the sound of the stallion's name. His steely blue eyes met Midas' iris-less ones with a quizzical shrug. If it was wrong, it was as close as he could come. As Midas labeled him a soldier, Gaucho frowned with frustration. "Soldier" was definitely harder to say than Midas. "Sol-djurr" He managed, his tongue feeling thick and slippery as it tried to form the word. With a slight snarl, he shook his head; at least he knew with the word meant. Snorting, he nodded to Midas. "Gaucho soldjur", he confirmed with a rather handsome smile.

Gaucho's gaze followed where Midas had indicated, towards the naturally occurring oasis. Relax? Is that what he was supposed to do? Frowning, and furrowing his brows together, Gaucho shook his head. "Soldjurs protect? Soldjurs bring back...mares?" He offered somewhat hesitantly, trying to understand if he was meant to spar, or recruit, or...? Grunting his frustration, though appreciative of the paint's patience, he finally resolved to simply ask. "Gaucho do what?"

[Nooo worries ]
