She was very polite, just like Breeze himself, and a shy smile tugged on his lips. Maybe she could be his friend, someone to talk to, finally after months of solitude and silence. She was about the age his mother had been if she had been alive still, but she didn’t resemble Ru’yah in any other way. Still he desperately wanted someone who could take care of him. Just for a little while, until he felt like an adult again. What he really needed was a father figure. A stallion who could teach him to be a bit tougher, but Breeze had always been a mama’s boy.
He shook the thoughts from his head and watched the star-wolf again. What could it be? Surely it wasn’t a living, breathing creature. Or was it? Cassiopeia spoke and he listened with his black eyes still settled on the lupus. But when he answered he faced the mare. "A herd? Maybe. I don’t know. I’m a bit lost, you see but I have nowhere to go, really. Do you come from a herd Lady Cassiopeia?" His eyes again wandered to the star creature. It was so weird to see his friends from the sky assembled into a being walking so far below the great heavens. "Forgive me Lady Cassiopeia, but what is that? It can’t be a living creature, can it? How did it get here?" |
