"Where brilliance is good and madness is better..."
Helovia Info
Helovia opened in February 2012! We are an active fantasy equine RPG
Where once the world narrowed into naught but gray dust and desolation, the gods called for life. Wielding the elements of fire and light, dark and wind, earth and water, spark and time, they have created Helovia. The realm is set within the mythical globe of Loorien, a planet rich with all variety of creatures and blessed with all manner of magic. Originally populated by nomadic, tribal characters, they've since grown into massive empires saturated with culture and history. Separated into four distinct segments of Helovia, called "The Regions," each band of horse strong enough and capable enough, took up the power and responsibility of leadership. Unicorns, old, wise and mysterious, took to the north, hidden in forests of mists and shadows and rarely making themselves known beyond their cliffs of the World's Edge. Equines, vast, organized and militaristic, split into two, one group went north to the Windtossed Foothills and the other group went south to the Dragon's Throat. Pegasus remained nomadic, making their homes in various parts of The Wilds in a migratory manner. For many generations, the land was peaceful and calm, but peace was never the way of the gods. With a clash of argument, war and bloodshed massacred Helovia, and in the aftermath, the realm was eerily quiet. Now, as newcomers sweep into this land, they are met with the lingering bitterness of the gods and the struggle to reclaim what was lost. Nothing remains safe or certain while sorcerers and soldiers alike brood and bide their time for revenge, honor and glory.

Doppleganger Plot ☼ - 6/20/13 - The God of Time is still struggling to close the rift though which the dopplegangers have come. Magic still remains faulty and hard to control, but the herdlands continue to be places of refuge for those who are fortunate enough to call these lands home.
ORANGEMOON cools off the lands with a a viscious force. Colder than normal, a sign of things to come during Frostfall, Helovia is bathed in a rich tropical lushness - albiet a cold one. The coastlines of the Dragon's Throat are pelted constantly by tidal waves, and the desert climate is humid but chilly. Ice begins to form early in the Aurora Basin leaving the winding trails slick and dangerous. The mists of the World's Edge coat everything in a glistening crystalline shine which encourages mould to grow everywhere. The Spectral Marsh is the only area which remains fertile, blissfully temperature and lush.

WEAVER, Corporal of the Aurora Basin, is a relatively recent addition to Helovia and has taken it by storm. Branded with the seal of Death on her chest, intrigue and interest follow both her past and present. Though she is assuredly beautiful, her sometimes sharp personality reveals that there is more to this uni-peg hybrid than meets the eye. Proving herself able on the battlefield in the Basin’s warrior ranks, we can’t wait to see her test her mettle against the looming Kaos happenings! Congratulations!

FROM THE SCRAPES AND BRUISES TO THE FAMILIAR ABUSES I'LL KICK AND SCREAM BUT IT NEVER CHANGES ANYTHING
Res's body was trembling. Her head resting up against her forelegs as her jaw clenched hard onto the branch. Teeth mars were beginning to form on it, but unless she dropped it she wouldn't know that. Her audit was pinned against her cranium, attempting to block out the world and forget everything that was around her. The sobbing doesn't stop. The trembling doesn't stop. All she can think about is that an invasion is occurring. All she can think about is that she might lose her home again. All she can think about is this deep, throbbing pain in her shoulder.
There is a noise that brings her back, just a little, but it doesn't do much to make her begin to look around or to stand back up. A dull thud of hooves landing, and then her name. Cautiously. As if they weren't certain. My lady. Instantly, she recalled the name and her body was instantly attempting to stand up. But the pain was too much, and so her form stayed low to the ground and shaking with fear. Quil stopped, standing there in shock. Her name, firmly but with a hint of a soothing note to it along with confusion and anger. She winced, golden orbs peering up at him through fogged and hazy, tear bothered eyesight. She was alright now? It's over? He thought? He started to move forward, careful to keep his wings tight to his side just like old times. His little companion is chirping from his withers.
And then, another horse came in. A painted one. She could had sworn she had seen the mare before but she couldn't place her name or anything else along those lines. The familiar scent of the Edge and the mists, though, did offer her a little bit more comfort. There was a waver in her voice as she said that it was okay before her eyes lit up with happiness. Tournament? What tournament? Instantly, she struggled to pull her way to her feet, doing so shakily and stuffing the branch into the knot of her tail for safe keeping - incase someone else jumped out of the shadows and mists. "There was no tournament, ma'am." Res spoke, eyeing the black and white mare as she was granted a name. "Kahlua. The Edge is being invaded, by the Grey. And what smelled like unicorns from the North, and the Frozen Arch. There is no 'tournament' that you speak of. It is a full out war." Her voice was strained. Her body struggling to keep standing. Broken chords filled the air as she limped toward Quil. Instantly, she turned so that she was facing the same direction as him before shoving her nose under his wing and attempting to burrow her frame under the comfort of his soft downy feathers. Hollow. Weak. Soft as clouds. Kaj's words remained in her skull, and with the wound still bleeding and pain in fear in her mind all that she wanted was to be shielded from the world.
"God. Quil. It was so horrible. She had wings. She was from the Grey. She had a bird. And I couldn't get any hits in. The only damage I managed to do was by throwing a branch at her glowing form. She was taunting me. She said we were going to lose. That I knew what had happened last time. I don't want to lose our new home. I can't..." She whispered, her voice shattering and causing her to stumble uncertainly over her words. "God. Quil. I can't lose anyone else..."
