The femme spoke calmly to the warrior as he entered. The draft's hair was a thick forest green and his frame muscular yet not overpoweringly tall. Storm, the tense mare was taller than he was but the major difference between the two was Storm's lithe, agile build against Solace's brawny and tough build. The Andalusian shifted his gaze between them multiple times, expecting them to speak, yet the mare was quiet, her tongue apparently caught in the depths of her mind. The filly was also silent, observing instead of speaking. Clever. Garnock retained his friendly demeanour, smiling kindly yet his mind moving fluidly through each and every possibility. There was something off about Storm. The bay was aware of Terra's tentative curiosity of her, and Garnock couldn't help but wonder as well, yet he spoke naught of his mind's actions, observing in silence much like the filly. The Spanish stud adjusted his position slightly, turning about an inch or so and finishing more square on to Solace. Since the females kept their tongues, he would focus on the one individual that chose to speak.

Emerald optics studied the warrior's thick frame, his dark hair almost strangely thick as though plucked from the surrounding forest itself. His bald ivory face was a heavy contrast to his monochrome pelt and his old icy orbs were like that of one who stole the Souls of young fillies. It wasn't long after Garnock had noticed the stallion's hefty scar that Solace spoke. Chocolate auds flicked quickly to listen to the stag, conscious of his companion as the robin moved into the shadows of the branches, his black eyes watching the females carefully. His deep vocals uttered first a vague, summarised history of The Grey and as one who'd never thought of himself as having anything to do with mercenaries, Garnock was immediately uncertain of the herd. When he was told they were more of a family come recent years, his views were mixed. The stallion flicked his ebon banner against his dark hocks as a sign of thinking. Terra's quiet tone chirped into Garnock's heavily working brain, reminding him to reserve his judgements until Solace had nothing more to say. Trust the robin to be rational. Garnock listened to the male's eloquent vocals, shifting his weight to one side to rest a tired hoof. The bay was glad that the herd were not exclusively warrior based, but it seemed to the stud that war was the most pursued path. Solace concluded his speech calmly and Garnock nodded approvingly, allowing silence to pass as he processed the information. Tossing stray strands of ebonite forelock from his gaze, the stallion waited for any comments from his companion, but alas, silence resumed. The bay spoke then, his baroque skull tilting downwards as typical when he was "interviewing" someone over their herd. I can very well imagine there are Solace, but I would rather know more of your family before joining. He paused, emerald gaze watching the grey. For the meanwhile he ignored the femmes, but not in rudeness. If they didn't speak, how would he know of their allies or herds? How are your relationships with other herds? Is everyone as polite and calm as you, or are The Grey still in their roots mercenaries with only such blood cooled? He quick-fired the questions intelligently, hearing the quiet and odd chuckle of the robin in the trees.
