ALYSANNE.
“Oh well aren’t you just the sweetest. I just love to run and dance.” To feel the earth beneath her hooves as they stroked it, landed upon it with a patter, heavy in some steps but she liked to think the earth didn’t mind – that it rose up to soften her steps and rejoiced in all the movements of those that lived on the surface. Her wings were delightful things, it was true, but she always preferred to wander with her feet on the ground.
It made her feel at home, even when she was so far from it. But she was still catching her breath from her dance – exhilarated and filled to the brim with endorphins – and there was no room in her heart or her mind for troublesome thoughts. Happy, happy thoughts instead. Thoughts of her dear son, of all the friends she had made and of the delightful unicorn filly standing before her now. “Do you want to join me, Cypress? I bet you have a beautiful stride yourself.” She swayed a little bit to the tune of the wind in the grass and the distant twittering of birds, stepping in her spot with an encouraging sort of smile.
Dancing was not for everyone, she knew, but what better way to make a new friend then to chase one another across a golden field in the mountains?
She so loved to race with her sister and father when she was younger, forgetting their lessons and their cares to experience the world in such a light hearted way. Perhaps Cypress would let her share in that on this wonderful day.
