As the heat ebbs and flows from the sun overheat, so does the earth churn beneath. Long tendrils of flame and magma curl up from the hole in the land, trying to taste those who stand too close. The air above the gash is shimmering and hot, bringing tears to your eyes if you venture too close. Everything is hot, almost miserably so, but something in the distance just happens to catch your eye.

Something red.

Something on fire.

In a slightly transparent orb, a furry, feathered creature is curled in the fetal position, surrounded in red, fiery fluid The little circle holds a precious little griffin in side, a little griffin who was somehow pushed out of his nest and rolled precariously to the edge of the gaping hole of magma.

A turtle, a familiar face to few in Helovia, with a large, painted shell sauntered to the orb and carefully pushed it into the nearby grass, gazing at it curiously. His lips turned into a frown, and he nudged it carefully. The earth turtle did not know how to care for such a bright creature - hopefully a generous soul would come and care for the tyke.

Certain tests would have to be performed though, first.

This drop is for a plain griffin with the Molten Dagger ability.
