KEAHI
Die Sonne scheint mir aus den Händen, Kann verbrennen kann euch blenden
There are few things as enjoyable in life as watching someone's smugness die a slow and painful death, squirming feebly in the dust and then perishing. That sensation was what Keahi felt in just that moment, when she saw the self-satisfied grin slip off of the pretty girl's face. Beauty is admirable, but if you do not have the brains to back it up, it's only ever going to get you in trouble. If Keahi could read Kahlua's mind, how the piebald was thinking her powerless, harmless - she would have laughed. Keahi was anything but and Kahlua might soon find that out on her own. As the piebald's smile slowly faded, the one on Keahi's mug grew exponentially. She sensed that the femme was a little slow, the way the silence stretched between the two of them, as if she was struggling to come up with an answer. It was fascinating, really, how two such opposites just happened to cross each others' paths.

There seemed to be a response, but then a change of heart. Keahi did not expect this young thing to understand any of the reasonings that would lie behind her choice of action, and so she wondered if she should really waste her breath on explaining this to Kahlua when she was asked to. "Solitude is peace, freedom of mind and soul. It is power, to only surround yourself with those deemed worthy, those who can aid you and bring you closer to the Lord of Light," Keahi spoke, softly as a whisper but clear as a knife cutting through the finest silk. She did not need others to try and cloud her judgement, contaminate her vision of the Lord. She did not crave to be liked or to fit in - for she knew that He would love her for being His most faithful servant.

And then, another question, the question that always amused her and annoyed her at the same time. She tilted her crania slightly to one side, swishing her tail and looking at the girl for a moment. She was always reluctant to share this critical bit of information with anyone, in fact the only one in Helovia that knew was the God of the Sun himself. "Call me whatever you wish, child. Knowing my name will do you no good," she replied, setting forward to move past the piebald, steering away from the figures that could be seen at the foot of the hill. As she always had, Keahi would be a rogue, tending to her own needs and wishes before anything else. She was not concerned with whether or not the other thought her rude for leaving without a farewell; it was not like she had requested her company in the first place.
