SILAS THE SPIDER
You leave the demon dog behind and roam down the other side of the hill. A copse of trees, dark and black are nearby, all covered in heinously charcoal leaves. The ground softens to something gooey and sticky, and you try not to upset your lunch from your stomach (if you ate). Though the journey this time was short, the destination was no less frightening. From the trees fall massive spiders on silken webs that cover from tree to tree. Eight of them rest on branches and on the bark, and a single king lowers himself fully to the ground. He propels himself up onto his hind four legs, raising his body until his multiple eyes can see at nearly eye level to the smaller of the group. Lethal, white pincers click together, spraying venom that dripped down his hairy chin. Two forelegs lash out with sticky, hairy ends and the voice that comes from his open, book lungs is raspy and gross. "I am sssssilas the ssspider," he huffed, blinked his eyes and clicking his fangs. "Daphnee and Harald are kind compared to... -click - myself..." he hummed. "Do you dare - click click - asssk me for a prize?"
