Song for the reluctant heroes
I wanna be brave like you

Sacre had watched the clouds build as he'd traveled down from the Basin, a yearling almost now he found himself able to go much further for longer, not too much mind, but enough to make life more exciting. Perhaps tomorrow he would take the plunge and go further than he's ever been before, he could even find the land Levi was from, that is if he didn't get lost. Which was likely in Sacre's case. The nearer he got to the woods of the claiming grounds the more the sky became angry and soon it hissed bright lights and growled soon after. Of the many things Sacre had been scared of; dragons, getting lost, being captured... Life in general. The thunderstorm strangely enough did not frighten his heart instead it firmed his step, frailty seemed to have captured the world recently, in his circumstance at least, it was nice to watch something so unchained and ferocious. It quivered at nothing and reached out to touch all below with the downpour of rain that followed, Sacre bowed his head to the wind as it increased and the storm reached it's peak, the power surprising him a little enough to stop and brace himself. One day he hoped himself to be like this storm, unstoppable and wild, it seemed like the best way to live ones life.

As soon as he had acknowledged it's brilliance it was quickly gone and rumbling off somewhere else, the sun peaking through the gaps it left meeting the squint in Sacre's eyes. The rain subsided leaving his short mane plastered to his neck and drops running down his long, bloodied horn. All in all it was a damp, but weirdly joyful start to the day. The stained child continued on wards, remembering the last time he'd been here there had been a giant elephant! Who had thought him something called a Zebra. He giggled at the memory, wondering if he would find something similar this time, but highly doubted his chances.

Instead he came across a mare, tall and thin with fur a darker shade than that to his own mother's. Her eyes, however, almost matched his own in a memorizing shade of capturing blue, her weapon protruding proudly from her head in a twist of coal colour. She was much older than him, not quite as old as father, resting a leg he decided to approach her with boyish smile in tow. A smile that no matter how many years past, he would have forever. "I'm sorry for intruding... Have you traveled far?" His voice was timid as he halted not too far away from her, but not too close to make him uncomfortable.

There's something wretched about this
Something so precious about this
