God of the Moon
Cloaked in darkness and wind.

Mirage knew, the Moon Goddess could see it in her eyes.

Still, the black mare said nothing of the pregnancy at first, falling instead into her customary sign of respect. The lavender mare returned the nod with grace, her own head falling only slightly, with an elegant swish of her silver mane. Even as the whisper of words soothed Mirage, there was a fear struck within her face that the God could not quite determine. She was brave, but the weight of her friends and family pulled heavily on her shoulders. Carrying such a weight could drag you into the ground - perhaps this was her fear.

The eyes that had often held a fire uncommon to most were clouded by worry, even as her mouth dropped out utterances that she would try to banish them. The Moon Goddess smirks, her lips pulling upward in an amused fashion. There was little she could do as a deity to ease the fears of a leader, but as a friend, she might make some progress. Even as thoughts swirled within the mortal brain of Mirage, the Moon appears calm, poised, waiting for her internal rant to come to its inevitable end, when the amber eyes again peered out at her with familiarity and not distance thought.

The question causes the lady to smile, albeit a small and veiled expression. "The child will be well attended to in the World's Edge," she assures Mirage, "but you are welcomed to come to know him in time." The perks of being a deity meant simply knowing about your foal. Before her child had even entered the world outside of her womb, the Goddess knew of him, knew of Mesec.

"It is right of you to be frightened, you know," the lady says after a brief pause. "The future of your loved ones is currently uncertain, and it stands in a path of violence." Her silver eyes watch Mirage thoughtfully, waiting for her expression to change. "However, without a proper home, this land has been rough upon them, so you must ask yourself what the better alternative is. Would you ask them to stand beside you and fight or stand beside you and slowly decay?"
