 Histe the devil in disguise
Blood caked scars criss-crossed the mare's face. Her cheeks, nose, forehead all told the tale of being attacked viciously by something with razor sharp claws. Thankfully the dragon had missed her eyes in his assault, but one anyone really know that? Her pale eyes already looked useless and blind. Most often they worked to her advantage and someone would approach her, offering help but she was no helpless mare. No, she was far from being a helpless mare. Her ears twitched at the sound of something approaching quickly.
"Do you hear that?" Histe didn't say anything to Huinne. Of course she heard it, what did he think she was deaf? She wasn't the one that had her ear torn off, that stupid colt was. Her dark, thin tail lashed against her hocks as she started at a trot in the direction the sound was coming from. That trot quickly transitioned into a canter and then into a gallop. "What are you doing?! You'll break your neck!" "Shut up!" Honestly sometimes Huinne got on her nerves. There was a dog up ahead and rather than alter her course she ran straight for him, intending to trample it beneath her slate grey hooves unless it moved out of her way.
