"Where brilliance is good and madness is better..."
Helovia Info
Helovia opened in February 2012! We are an active fantasy equine RPG
Where once the world narrowed into naught but gray dust and desolation, the gods called for life. Wielding the elements of fire and light, dark and wind, earth and water, spark and time, they have created Helovia. The realm is set within the mythical globe of Loorien, a planet rich with all variety of creatures and blessed with all manner of magic. Originally populated by nomadic, tribal characters, they've since grown into massive empires saturated with culture and history. Separated into four distinct segments of Helovia, called "The Regions," each band of horse strong enough and capable enough, took up the power and responsibility of leadership. Unicorns, old, wise and mysterious, took to the north, hidden in forests of mists and shadows and rarely making themselves known beyond their cliffs of the World's Edge. Equines, vast, organized and militaristic, split into two, one group went north to the Windtossed Foothills and the other group went south to the Dragon's Throat. Pegasus remained nomadic, making their homes in various parts of The Wilds in a migratory manner. For many generations, the land was peaceful and calm, but peace was never the way of the gods. With a clash of argument, war and bloodshed massacred Helovia, and in the aftermath, the realm was eerily quiet. Now, as newcomers sweep into this land, they are met with the lingering bitterness of the gods and the struggle to reclaim what was lost. Nothing remains safe or certain while sorcerers and soldiers alike brood and bide their time for revenge, honor and glory.

Only the herdlands have a source of light, but lamp-trees with glowing leaves and branches sporadically line the popular roads and paths from place to place.
Doppleganger Plot ☼ - 6/20/13 - The God of Time is still struggling to close the rift though which the dopplegangers have come. He has requested that his brothers and sister assist in closing this hole, but without knowing why it opened, the task is proving difficult. Magic still remains faulty and hard to control, but the herdlands continue to be places of refuge for those who are fortunate enough to call these lands home.
ORANGEMOON cools off the lands with a a viscious force. Colder than normal, a sign of things to come during Frostfall, Helovia is bathed in a rich tropical lushness - albiet a cold one. The coastlines of the Dragon's Throat are pelted constantly by tidal waves, and the desert climate is humid but chilly. Ice begins to form early in the Aurora Basin leaving the winding trails slick and dangerous. The mists of the World's Edge coat everything in a glistening crystalline shine which encourages mould to grow everywhere. The Spectral Marsh is the only area which remains fertile, blissfully temperature and lush.

Character of the Month for

WEAVER, Corporal of the Aurora Basin, is a relatively recent addition to Helovia and has taken it by storm. Branded with the seal of Death on her chest, intrigue and interest follow both her past and present. Though she is assuredly beautiful, her sometimes sharp personality reveals that there is more to this uni-peg hybrid than meets the eye. Proving herself able on the battlefield in the Basin’s warrior ranks, we can’t wait to see her test her mettle against the looming Kaos happenings! Congratulations!

My heart's a stereo, it beats for you, so listen close
hear my thoughts in every note...
The white mare seemed to instantly regret her decision of landing and welcoming her self into the two's life. She seemed happy, but didn't want to be rude in a way. She seemed kind though and reassuring to Dust's thoughts and actions. Dust liked her spirit and pride in herself and others. But now her emotions read otherwise. Regret smeared her face. She spoke in a sincere tone to Africa. She spoke of herself being carless. Dust knew that was not the answer. But he didn't speak it. He just watches her reaction to her own words.
His eyes guided him to the slightly confused face of Africa. But she was fine. She was probably wondering why the mare was so rushed to apologize. But Dust understood that the dappled mare had an important role in the herd of the throat. She replied truly, speaking of Alina never to be careless, but Dust knew that the two had barely known each other, and were being kind. But it was of all sincerity. He knew.
When the colt had spoken, Dust had noticed many things. Africa had given a fluttery breath of fine-ness. He seemed to be doing something right with Africa. Not that he never did do anything right, she just seemed happy with his introduction. Alina spoke of how she was recruited by a mare of the title, Skuggi. She promised everyone would be so welcoming. Dust had never doubted her words for a moment.
She gave him a friendly nudge to his shoulder. A kind one of pure care. One of true heart. Dust knew he would be meeting this mare again. He wanted to. He just liked her spirit and kindness. She reminded him of Africa, they seemed alike and together. Both kind and strong. Both careful of feelings. Dust wanted these abilities when he grew older. He wished.
Africa spoke, asking Alina to join them on their journey. To meeting more of the herd. Dyst hoped they would be glad to see him. Even though they would barely know him. The thought slipped his mind, his head whirled as he thought of the little mare coming with them.
Then maybe they all could fly! Dust yearned to learn more about flight. He wanted to know how to take flight of a slope of which they call mountain. He wanted the feeling of breeze under his wings. He looked down at the wings key around his neck, reminding him of the magic of flight, and it's powers. He had only ever really flew when he had found it up in a high tree. It's glint of the sun giving it away. The Sun God had helped him on that day, and he would never forget it. For he would always wear the necklace. Only to take it off in an extreme emergency.
He once again though of the sky, and the breeze in his mane as they flew. He imagined it though sadly as he asked the two mares of flight. "Could we possibly fly?" Dust asked. Africa mostly, because she was his slight guardian. And he couldn't just take off right? No. Never. He would always have to ask. Always.
"Talk Talk Talk." sorry for the wait! Once again! :(
