The young stud listened to the dark unicorn as they traveled. He wondered if he ought to pay some kind of respect to the former lord of the Woodlands, but he reckoned that it would maybe remind Nato that he wasn’t a lord anymore. And no one liked to be reminded about what they had lost.

When the wall came in view Breeze stopped in awe. The glittering glass mesmerized him and for a long while he just stood there, watching, measuring the huge structure with his eyes. "Wow…" he mouthed with his black eyes widened.

He then quickly started walking again, catching up with his guide. "Nato, you don’t think that I could like stay here. You know, become a part of the herd?" he said as he reached Nato’s side. But as he said the words a worry came over him. Nato was a unicorn, so what if the unicorns had taken back the Edge and Breeze was now being led to his slaughter? But the creamy stallion decided not to care; if he were about to die - so be it.

The darkness had turned into light and it had actually become a rather fine Orangemoon day. The skies were blue and the sun even had some warmth to it. But Breeze was tired and he had always preferred the night before the day, and so it was in a kind of haze he saw two creatures step into the opening in the glass wall. One of the creatures was dark and the other shone like red copper in the golden rays of the sun.

Breeze squinted though the sun distorted his vision together with his tiredness and then he heard her voice. Like a higher being of light and good she spoke his name and for a second he couldn’t breathe. He stopped dead in his tracks again and just stared. Had he heard right? Did he just imagine the voice? No, she really seemed to be there and he realized that this was his chance to begin correcting his wrongs.

He heaved forwards and covered the remaining distance between them within a second. Standing before her, tears welled up in his eyes and he couldn’t bring himself to speak at first. Then he cleared his throat and said: "Hi."

Of all the stupid things he could say he had chosen to say “hi”. Why couldn’t he had just blurted out that he loved her and that he was sorry that he hadn’t known what love was and that he would never leave her again if she would only give him another chance? That was after all what he wanted to say. But no, the only word that left his lips where “hi”.
