 The sabino unicorn comes sliding from the bushes once she hears the familiar voice of Abishia. They’d met only days ago and Tangere has not been able to shake the thought of the ambitious filly since that day. It is someone else’s name she calls out, but with a smile and no worries, the unicorn emerges from the thick alders surrounding the filly. “Hello again, Abishia.” She makes a small circle around the mare and takes up a relaxed stance beside her. The golden grasses tickle at their knees, and when it comes to the shorter Tangere, her belly too. As young and undeveloped as the yearling (about) is, she is a few inches taller than the full grown Tangere. They stand together is warm silence; the wind is cool but not cold and soft on illuminated curves of their backs. “How have you been?” Tang reaches out with her blowing nostrils, tenderly exhaling onto Abishia’s cheek. It is a quick and affectionate greeting even though the mares hardly know one another. Tangere does not have a habit of bonding instantly, but with Abishia she lacks the ability to resist it. It’s platonic, nothing lusty or weird, more like sisterly. It is the first friend that is not a comrade of the Basin, though she will most likely count them as family soon enough; for now she relishes in the tingly feeling of ritual bonding. She looks out onto the landscape, watching the sky change colors – melt and harden again like hot lava twisting in the clouds. It’s a rather serene and terrifying place to be, Helovia.
