The Poisoner

Aodaun snarls, snapping mighty jaws meant for rending and tearing flesh off seals, for fighting other massive ice bears, at the insult to his bonded. Lakota is just as quick to react, and though her flanks feel a bit damp she lets the mist grow taller and thicker in her anger. Magic has always influenced her emotionally, and she can feel the rage thrumming alongside the magic coursing through her veins, knows she has to keep control. "What the fuck did you just call me, scum?!" she roars, teeth gnashing alongside her bonded. At that moment Oxy's companion comes out like a shroud, and her heart drops alongside her stomach as it forms into the shape of her wraith-infested lover. She nearly falters, until Aodaun pushes through, forcing her to see through his eyes. It has always been an ability for them, her being able to focus on the thread between them, able to see from his viewpoint. Now, she is forced to stare at the thick of her mists instead of the image that the boggart paints. Ao only lets her look back up once he is sure it is gone, and she quietly thanks him inside her head.

"Locoweed? Fucking druggy," she grunts to herself, so that only Resplendence may possibly hear her. But then she really looks at him, observing his features as Resplendence kicks something over to him, barely hearing whatever it is she says. "Hey, you're one of the Asylum, aren't you?" she says coarsely, calling out over her mists, letting them dwindle just enough so that Resplendence's package may make it across. In her head, a plan is starting to formulate, and she watches him like a hawk. Would it even be worth it? But the Chieftess inside her is reminded of the proposition she'd made, the possibility of a truce with the ones who had wanted so badly to take over their herdlands. Maybe it was worth the good word Oxy might be able to put in, if she offered to supply his addiction. And then Resplendence's box wouldn't be under threat...she hums softly to herself, wondering if he would take whatever Resplendence had kicked over to him. It wasn't her fault she didn't know what it was, and she certainly wasn't going to take the fall for it, far more aware of the boundaries of her magic.
