She is leaping, a flashing blur, when the tails strike her pelt, the stench of singed flesh and hair rising from her frame alongside the sinister, squelching scream that breaks from the monster’s lips. Even more shocking to the demon is the burning haze that appears between the two, the way the twirling aura radiates danger and stinks of magic, and while her recoiling did not protect her new body from the burning tails of the Kitsune, it did save her from the explosion born of the girl’s terror.

A howl breaks from the demon’s lips as she spirits herself away from the explosive sun.

Like the blink of an eye, Illynx is safely far enough away from the blast to save her the hideous markings of burn wounds across her entire being, the fire having consumed instead of her sinew the long black tail that trails behind her, the tips of her black wings.

But she is laughing, even when she finds her prey is gone, for the other has stayed. What soul remains within the creature hears Lace’s warnings, the pitter patter of hooves heading their way towards the hole in the earth that had swallowed the rest. She attempts to follow the filly as she flees, but has been intercepted by the silver stallion who so valiantly has chosen his own death over the girls.

Her smile is savage, hungry. Saliva drips from the corners of her lips, frothy and stained red from the force of her own teeth slicing into the tender linings of her mouth in starvation for living flesh. The branches reach for her legs, but she can smell their putrid approach before they touch her.

She is a God, let this foolish mortal see it proven.

Great wings heave her body upwards, the branches falling just short of grasping her legs as they rise from the earth, the laughter having grown into an insidious song that falls and keeps falling from her mouth. It is only a game to the beast.

She cannot die, no matter how he tries.

Even the burns on her ass don’t hurt. What does he think his little tree pets will do?

Another sun ruptures where she had just been standing, tossing her airborne form through the air in several looping circles and crashing her with a heavy and audible crunch into the earth. Her ribs have broken in several places, mud has stained the shadowy pitch of her skin, but the wraith rises unearthly fast from her fallen location and shows no signs of feeling the fatigue or pain of her wounds.

It is good for her. She has risen to find the stallion in motion, and she charges in to meet him, the mocking smile still present on her lips as she closes in at double speed in comparison to the slow moving mortal.

The filly has been forgotten. Her eyes are only for you, big boy.

Her legs rise to meet the charging bulk of Lace and her teeth broaden in preparation for a bite as the spider webbed stag collides with her, two bodies in a dance that had once captivated the mortal soul bound to this hellish body. Some misunderstood thought has crossed her mind, whatever remains of it, that this man is one she would be glad to see fall. Something about a forest, a beautiful, misty wood overlooking the sea…

A mortal affection, nothing more, but it does add an extra vigor to her movements, the spit flecking against a black pelt and spraying its infection down onto the foolish man.

You should have run, like the child, "Now you’ll only die with the rest of us."

[ OOC: Not exactly proud of this but yeah. :| It is there. ]
