Ajax had been dozing in the warm afternoon sun,when he heard a mare speaking in a soft,inquiring voice.It had been a long,tiring adventure with a mare and stallion that had made him "half-dead"as he called,meaning he was too tired to lift a hoof.But alas,his curiosity overpowered him,and he got up to search for who had spoken.He saw the mare near a leafy tree.A pretty young thing,as Diedre would have called her,giggling as she spoke.Diedre,Ajax's mate,loved to giggle.But she wasn't obnoxious in doing it,like most mares were."Hello,"he said."Looking for someone?"
