'Stallion coming,' Came Vera's warning, smelling the scent of a new being before Adele even heard him. The red and blue mare turned her head as soon as he nickered to her, her blue, orange-flecked orbs wide and features slightly startled. The newcomer was a flaxen chestnut equine. He was taller than herself with a coat lacking any markings and a green gaze that was incredibly difficult to look away from.
The stranger was just about everything she wasn't, it seemed. But don't opposites attract? She and Loki were nothing alike at all. Their differences were more so in species, this stallion was a contrast to herself in mere appearance.
"What's a beautiful creature like you doing out here without someone strong to watch over her?" came the stranger's deep voice, a smirk crawling it's way onto his features. For a moment, Adele didn't know what to do. She stood frozen, watching the way the pale light danced across his coat, at an utter loss for words. No one had ever spoken to her in such a tone of voice. No one had ever called her beautiful. No one had ever acted this infatuated with her at all. Most horses she met either turned their nose up at her species, or ran away at the sight of her. She was quite a sight to behold, but not a harmful one. Adele was gentle until challenged to a fight. This was why she tried to never judge anyone, the horned and the winged included. She did not see them as abominations as Tyradon did, but was certainly more comfortable around equines like herself. Even when meeting someone of another species, Adele would treat them with as much kindness as any equine.
A flood of nervousness broke Adele away from her thoughts as Vera shifted on top of her bonded's back uncomfortably, breathing out a soft twinge of flames lasting for barely any seconds at all. 'Tell him you've got me,' Vera demanded, ivory eyes fixated upon the stallion. Adele obliged, having nothing else to say, flicking her gaze away from the stallion's at last.
"Thanks for the, uh compliment? I'm just another equine, but um, I-I've got Vera," Adele stuttered, turning her head to look at the reptile almost for encouragement. 'Keep going,' Vera mocked slowly, her pale gaze still upon the stallion. "She's strong, she can breathe fire, I mean real fire," Adele laughed softly, "the fire in my hair is fake."
'You're too nice,' Vera huffed, turning her gaze to Adele just to roll her eyes. 'He's an equine and has shown me no hatred yet, I have no reason to not be nice,' Adele retorted, switching her orbs back to the stallion.
"I'm Adele," the mare stated with a sheepish smile, turning her head slightly to the side. She didn't know how to act around someone who actually appreciated her appearance. The mare longed to be treated as normal by others. Genuine admiration on the other hoof...that was something she hadn't asked for, but would be more than happy to grow into liking.
"What's your name? Are you apart of a herd or something?"
