ULRIK THE ENGINEER
While the magnetic flux through a closed surface is always zero, the magnetic flux through an open surface need not be zero and is an important quantity in electromagnetism.

Ulrik watched the white mare back-pedal with her words, apologizing and showing new found respect to Illynx. He always wondered why greeting a leader caused anyone to change their opinions. When faced with the lackluster and pathetic leadership of Psyche, he did not cow to her title - instead he told her to abdicate for one more fitting to rule, and he would not apologize for his actions. With Deimos and Illynx as leads, the herd had never been more motivated and committed to each other, and he was proud of the fact that he played part in this occurring.

He listens, saying nothing as another approaches. He vaguely remembers her from the meeting, but otherwise she is unknown to him. As he watches the ugly, scrawny white bird land on her shoulders, one of his lips twinges ever so slightly.

"If you ever get to looking that unkempt, I will throw you in the hot springs," Ulrik threatened his hellhound through their mental bond.

"Joking." The hellhound responded incredulously, a sour emotion and taste hitting Ulrik hard. The black, wolf-liked creature bounded forward into the group, eyeing all with his silvery eyes.

"You disgusting. Kirchoff scoffed, grabbing at Ulrik's mud-filled tufted leg hair.

The stallion jerked his limb away, glaring down at the wolf before flicking his tail, narrowing his gaze. He said nothing in response, knowing that he had indeed been caught in his hypocrisy. The silent conversation he shared between Kirchoff had been distracting enough, and he glanced upward again, letting his cloven hoof fall to the snow again.

"This is Kirchoff," he grunted, introducing the hellhound to the others. Kirchoff glanced at the other fat equids before leaving to go hunt for more tasty, white snow rabbits. "My apologies; he lacks manners." Again, a statement of utter hypocrisy as Ulrik had the most poor manners of just about anyone. The stallion's sour expression persisted.

"The Basin is well. We have more than a few large undertakings occurring. You should come see." The words were directed to Tangere. Ulrik said nothing more, not trusting this stranger with his secrets. He was disgusted by the thought that he had to guard his life from even other horned creatures who debased themselves by associating with the feather brains and plain headed ones.

"What are you doing out here alone?" he asked the white mare now, gaze narrowed suspiciously. She was very pretty.
