Merry laughter rings from a young throat as golden eyes watch her companion start sideways from the flickering heat and glow of the fire dragon that danced past him, watched him bounce and kick out playfully. Yes, this behavior did indeed suit him better, and it warmed her young heart to have brought out this brighter, more playful side of him. Perhaps she should try to initiate this sort of play again, whenever he seemed particularly gloomy.

She was preparing to throw on what more speed she could, to out-race him to the wall, when she catches sight of it. What's left of it. And her strides hitched in surprise, briefly faltering to a canter before accelerating into an easy gallop, letting Dragomir race ahead. She was too busy running her gaze over the shattered remnants of her mother's wall, ghostly pale and a mere shadow of its former, intimidating glory. Her gazes catches on Dragomir leaping over a low break in the wall, spurring her to follow suit. But she is dragon, and her curiosity demands a closer look at the ruins.

Leathern wings spread wide, and beat strongly as she leaps, giving her slender figure extra height when she aims for a more or less flat expanse of broken wall, then fanning in an almost hover to balance her hooves when she pauses briefly atop the gradually sloping surface. It gives her the opportunity to gaze along the shattered length of wall as far as her eyes can see. Oddly, she isn't sad. Merely... thoughtful. After a moment she leans forward and allows herself to glide down to the ground, gingerly prancing back to the wall as she folded her wings.

By then her painted friend had rejoined her, and a gentle smile is offered to him in response to his simple statement. Welcome home. "It is good to be back." She murmurs softly, reaching out to touch her muzzle to his cheek momentarily before turning back to the wall. "Lady Moon must not have approved of it, to allow it to have become destroyed so. Has there been any discussion of what to do with it?" Her gaze is questioning, curious but not pressing.

Yet the state of the wall is not so pressing as to keep her attention completely captivated. Her questions asked, she shifts her attention toward the dark, misty shadows amidst the trees. It is only then that she has a low ache in her breast when the knowledge that there were bound to be many familiar faces that she would not run into beneath the mist-wreathed boughs anymore presses against her thoughts. Her ears tip back, tail drooping and wings tightening as she struggles with the dark sorrow. Finally, she gives voice.

It is a dragon song, carrying notes of sorrow and mourning, but also notes of hope and joy. It is an announcing of her return, and a beckoning to those who know her. Unbeknownst to the silver child, her voice in the past season has matured to the point of being achingly similar to the songs her mother used to sing, but still enough different for discerning ears to recognize that while the song is sang by one of dragon blood, it was not the Dragonheart who called to them. As she falls silent, it is with an absentminded motion that she shifts closer to Dragomir, unconsciously seeking his support against the meeting that was bound to come.
