Dead, vacant eyes stay locked onto those of gold, dimming with a lack of sight as the mind whirls like a machine in the swollen skull of the pegasus.
The undead foe does not see (how can he?) the chains that slither like serpents through the marsh water and roll around him with an insatiable hunger. They lurch and slide around his sides and slip into the nooks of his bones and his body. He can feel them, but he is powerless to resist while caught in the eyes of the tiger.
The moment fades.
In the blink of an eye the hypnosis splinters and cracks. Pale legs of bone and warped flesh kick as the pegasus rears against the restraints, but they tighten in an instant, severing the pegasus' neck from his withers.
The two segments of the body slump into the water, seemingly deceased at last.
Seemingly.
