delsolea the static on your arm - it is the catalyst After meeting a few others in her journey across Helovia, learning the features and boundaries of where she could go, what was safe – and where to avoid. She had seen some of the vast desert-like regions from when she had been flying and so she avoided taking flight. The forest was not safe for landing and there were some places that looked different, far too much for her peace of mind. So she angled and glided down from the sky to land delicately on the sand, a distance from where the sapphire blue water crashed hard down on the shoreline.
Delsolea had always had a thing for the ocean, and beaches. They always drew her in, somehow. The sound, the scent, the look. The feeling she got when she stood in the waves, riding them and leaping around. The feeling of water crashing on her, it was always a feeling she loved. Even now as she simply came to the edge of the water where the waves crashed and just stood there, with her wings open to let the breeze filter through the feathers. She had found a home in the Edge, Aurelia was true and kind, the first in a long time for her. With a deep inhalation of the ocean wind Delsolea tossed her head back and closed her eyes, letting the other senses take over as she let the wind wash over her. It was something she had not felt in a long time and it made her feel more alive, more than in a long time – and here she remained with eyes shut, wings partially open and head back, drinking in the wind. |
