As you always knew would happen, an opponent quickly arrives on the scene. A sarcastic one, at that. You snort at him in disgust, annoyed that he has taken the coward's way out and given you time to contemplate him and his position. If you were him, you would have rushed in, bashed him from the side or behind and never given him a moment to prepare. You would have been cold and ruthless with him, thrusted him towards the lava that boils not too far away and laughed while he failed. Yes, you would have played dirty and because Note doesn't, you think that he is weak. You've never appreciated weakness. Time to show him the errors of his ways.

In your head, you demand to your companion that she create some kind of distraction. You've never particularly liked her and have never gone so far as to name her. As she does not know that names can be created by one's self and not just bestowed, she has never bothered to name herself. Still, she has proven herself useful in battle (if nothing else) so you have stopped trying to chase her off. If you weren't so high all the time you might get the impression that she's a little depressed from lack of meaningful communication... Not that you would care anyways. However, since you are rather high most of the time, the only thing you can really say with certainty about her is that she fears you. What exactly about you it is that she fears is unknown as she could quite easily float out of harm's reach but she fears you nevertheless. Honestly, you've found this immensely useful and have done nothing to correct it. You are a cruel master.

As you expect, your companion quickly whisks into action as you bark at her, her invisible body trying to flick closer to Sabel while still maintaining her position several feet above the ground. Using her newly developed magic to pick up several rocks about 3 to 4 inches around, she directs them towards where she thinks Sabel is standing with enough force to cause at least a solid bruise if they hit. It is not a dramatic display but you think it will be distraction enough as you have found time and time again that horses react rather dramatically to harm to their companion. Well, at least most horses. Let the boggart be hurt. You don't mind.

At the same time that your boggart is trying to create chaos with the rocks, you force your colossal frame into a canter and thunder towards the winged gray. You notice that you are surprisingly agile on your hooves today as there is not very much locoweed in your system. Still, it doesn't give you much peace and you twitch your nose nervously towards your bag in desire to both eat and protect the precious cargo that resides there. With a sigh, knowing you do not have time now to grab any of the vines, you turn your head straight again and try to angle yourself so that your right shoulder will align with Note's right as you pass. No need to purposefully smash the locoweed, after all.

When you think you are in position, you suddenly heave your front end upwards and lift your head into the air, trying to throw yourself into Note's right. You have been particularly mindful of the fact that he has wings and are eager to take them out of play as soon as possible. If you have calculated correctly, your chest will slam into him somewhere in the region where his wing meets his shoulder. Then again, most of your practice aiming has come when you are intoxicated and the whole world is spinning. Who knows how you'll do when you can actually see what's happening around you.

Out of boredom, as gravity pulls your body down, you decide to reach out and try to bite... whatever it is you can get your mouth around. Ideally it would be the skin near Note's spine, but you're not particularly choosy. Any pain is better than no pain at all- for Note. You'd just as soon get out of this battle injury free. Who knows what sort of idiocy you'll have to deal with back at the Falls next, when you get there. You might need to be in top form for one reason or another.
