The way he wraps his neck around her withers, pulls her in tighter - it is just what she needs. She doubts that he understands. But, at least it is some form of comfort. She can feel the beating of his heart, the way it lulls her mind into the counting, the rhythmical way it eases her mind back down to a level of sanity. One-two. Three-four. Deep breath in as he murmurs that it is alright and that she is safe. Five-six. Seven-eight. He asked if she wished to speak about it and all Resplendence could do for the moment was shake her head. Nine-ten. Eleven-twelve. The way his maw presses against her cheek manages to stabilize her just enough to get out, "I thought someone had massacred the Edge," though her nightmare hadn't been nearly as bad as it could have been and she didn't go into anymore detail. She shuffles herself, still hiding in Dragomir's frame from the rest of world, but allowing her head to tilt towards Cheveyo. Meek voice falling from her lips, "A distraction w-would be best. P-please, what brings you back?" They were still missing so many, and it pulled at her heart. She wanted her family back, but she had no clue where they were and it hurt. Thirteen-fourteen. Fifteen-sixteen. Perhaps, today, she would gain a new friend. Well, once she could collect herself again. Seventeen-eighteen. Nineteen-twenty. At least now her trembling was beginning to cease thanks to the hulking frame of Dragomir and his beating heart - something consistent she could cling to. Twenty-one. Twenty-two. Today was a new day, she had to remember that… |
