Perhaps, perhaps, that's not all there is
But
Perhaps, perhaps, he'll just go for the kill

Shit. It’s cold up here, and not just the temperature. The company also rang with a frigid are of drop dead. Lion tail moved about as the air seemed to enclose around him in ever colder degrees. The golden son had been warm as he travelled up the slopes but standing still he felt their bite, or was that from her eyes? The roaned lass bore into him with a look that could freeze hell over. Not the first time he’d seen that sour of a face. But she was angry. Angry at having her solitude disturbed. Down-right pissed off at his probing into her affairs. She told him to leave. All things considered, Thranduil had no intention of doing such a kindness.

The cold lass spat towards him with every vowel a flying dart of ice. Sitting back on his heels with one hark forward and the other back the golden took this curious mare in. Ah, this girl was in no mood to play. She really did want him gone. That answered why she was dazing about her meal with such lackluster. The child had not come here to find food, or meet someone. She carried not who it was that had approached her, not even wanting to know their name. The roaned one wanted to be left completely alone, by everyone. She wanted solitude. Solitude in such horrendous accommodations as this god for shaken cliff, is usually only sought by a few types of creatures. Tassled tail lashed about in consideration. One, she’s crazy, which was seeming more possible. Two, she could no longer meet those she wanted to, and or, memories. Three, she was just a hormonal bitch. The last rose a chuckle from the velvet lips, deep but low.

Stepping up to the plate the golden shifted again his weight, body still uneasy after his struggle to gain some muscle. Wonderful, I do hate such frivolities.” With a grin he stepped up and to the side again, coming back in front of her. Her lips backed at him in one last utterance. Go Away. My, my, she was such a rustled creature. The golden son though did indeed hate such pleasant dealings. Arah the sweet swan and the beginning of the meeting in the Basin had given him enough of that. Besides if the child didn’t know his name, then how would she tell any would be protectors who to come after. Yes, let’s shove such things to the side. The roan was telling him all he needed to know about her anyway. She was alone. Wanted to be alone. And had no intention of being a push over. Yes indeed, wonderful.

Earth eyes danced over to the cliff as he stepped closer to it rounding out his circular path. No more concern for it though moved through him, though he did note it was long way down, and it stopped his path. Leaf starred forehead turned back to the roan mare, and his mask had all but fallen away. Besides, with this pissed of butch there was no need. A smile crawled upon him as he tisked her. “Tsk, tsk, tsk, we sure are a cranky lady today. Perhaps your icy meal has affected your attitude.” Spanish neck stretched out, flattening, pulling the twin horns close to its crest. “Regardless, I could never leave a lady in such a distressing mood.” Shaking the horned head back towards him in agreement with himself the golden mind whirled about in a frenzy.

Now, to indeed move beyond those frivolities of this lass’s current mood. Why was she here? Well now, if anyone was to openly ask the first and third considerations it was the golden son. But this mare was already ready to toss him off the cliff or freeze him on the spot. Best not go extreme too quickly. Besides perhaps she’d slip up and identify the cause on her own. The golden son was always one though to give someone a helpful push. Or shove. Or just knock them over. “Perhaps too many have taken you up on that favor.” Limbs stamped a bit in the snow, warming themselves against the bitter wind. To ease them the gold creature moved from the cliff edge, stopping yet again before her. “Perhaps you weren’t alone before, but are now, with nothing left but a frozen heart, and icy meals.” Ah, such words left him smooth and clear, and he openly smiled towards the roaned lass. Such open rawness did feel so freeing. It almost warmed his chest in this damned cold.
