The sun had yet to show it's face to this side of the world. Nothing could hide from the red-orange glow of it's mighty force that broke through the arms of the timber trees. Upon the edge that overlooked the vast waters, she looked at the masterpiece before her. The vibrant hues stretching out across what had been indigo, black even and now dark pink. Nothing could hide from it, and it was a bit much to think about. The infinite power of the Gods, both great and terrible. Something she had mused about many day as a filly, but something she wanted to pass on today. As the sun's crown became more distinct, she drifted away from the waters, back into the start of the forest. She was growing rather fond of it's hideaways, and questions. Muzzle bent close to the mixtures of plants (indian paint, and foxtails),a single flint was picked up when a spur of flecked grey crossed her path. The skin upon her shoulders flinched, her silver eyes met round, glassy, brown pair of a rabbit. It's off-white nose twitched, and it's little tail wiggled. Her breath went to fall from her lips, tongue forming words. Before they came out there was nothing but the sway of leaves where it had fled. Was she really that scary? She was not small by rabbit's measure, but she had barely moved a single hoof. Two ears drifted down, and she tucked her mouth in a tight line. Four legged company, ones lacking floppy ears, and fluffy tails would be nice, but she had to take what she could get. She wanted to try a little experiment.

Checking the ground beneath her for sticks, and other sharp objects, she leaned away from a protruding rock, dropping to her knees. The rabbit slowly peered out from beneath the eves of shrub. It was clear it was wondering if it should fear for it's life, but the young thing was curious of the unicorn. Smile, almost visible, worked it's way upon her black lips. She did not stare directly at the fellow, but kept it in her sight. She eased her haunches to the ground, and slowly she strummed on her vocal chords, a gentle, airy tune.

"Little bunny foo foo,
hopping through the forest,
scooping up the field mice and boppin' them on the head.
Down came the good fairy and she said.
Little bunny foo foo,
I don't want to see you scooping up the field mice
and boppin' 'em on the head."

First the rabbit drew it's head back under cover, thinking soon to rapidly make it's escape. The melody flowing, the mare unmoved, slowly with each end of the beat it drew closer to the unicorn. Surely it would have eaten him by now....
