The song was nothing, but a silly thing to entertain children, or in her case draw their thoughts off the hell they had and were to face. They were distant memories that played in the back of her mind like the static of something enough to know it was there, annoying and flicking. Yet, it was not her entire focus. The rabbit captivated her attention, and it retreated at least once more before drawing closer. Seeing the small creature, she could see why it was so quick, and reluctant. The mare could probably kill a swipe of her powerful front hoof. Killing the rabbit served no purpose to her. It was much more interesting alive. Things were about to change. She did not expect anyone to be listening, nor around. She had saw no one really, except in passing they kept their space and she kept hers. There was a distinct humming, a deep thrum of her little tune. The rabbit heard it, did not quite understand it was coming from someone else. Faelene did, and she cast her ears back, trying to tell where he was coming from.

Behind her. Why did stallions have to do that? She momentarily clenched her jaws, just steadying herself, her nerves, her instincts of flee or fight. He wasn't exactly hiding, trying to sneak up on her. What was his intention? She tipped her dark mask in his direction, letting her black and silver eyes take him in. He appeared like he had been cut out of the night sky, and brought down to earth. The morning light only making him appear more dark, and ominous. It was one with the dark cord around his neck that hit his broad chest, with sharp yellow eyes. Upon sight at the meeting she had decided he was nothing ordinary. He was completely unknown, and the unknown should be feared. It was probably best she did not know if the season had been different what he would have done.

As it were, she could see him staring at the rabbit, and she could see something there. Mouth parted to warn him that would not be the thing to do, she came a second late. Dark from was already threw the air, and right where the bunny had been. Flints shoved against the ground, pushing her to a stand. What was she suppose to say? Scold him? Bad dog, don't do that. Right, that would work. Light snort pressed from her nostrils at her own thoughts. She had no more time to think, with a wild grin he was taking pursuit of the harmless rabbit. It was only natural for her to chase after the onyx brute.

Since they were the same size, and she had not stood like around like an idiot trying to figure what had happened, she was hot on the Monster's heals. She did not believe he meant the rabbit no harm. Quite the opposite. She let out a short nicker, as if asking what the hell. Thundering sound of eight hooves, rumbled beneath, up, and around her was all her ears would likely hear. He probably had a lot more strength and stamina then herself, and she half assumed he could probably do this all day. Some point she would have to stop. It wasn't like she had a plan of what she would if she caught up to him, or if he stopped. This could be an interesting day.

Legs rose and fell, her eyes straining to see if he was even following the bunny. She would not know. The forest was a blur of green, orange, brown, and tones of the graying sky. What she could make out, she tried to avoid. Sharp stumps of anthills, and wonky growing bushes that were starting to die. She did not gain ground, but she was trying to hold what she did.
