Anna had grown, well, not quite grown, but, gained more muscle.
She bounded along behind Biru now. She was no longer awkwardly walking and sleeping, now, she was running, bounding and generally causing a ruckus. Biru could feel Anna behind him as he walked, her ever annoying, but lovely presence always having a grip on his mind. He had to admit, having a bond was a lot different than he had thought. In fact, it was quite crazy. He could feel everything she felt, and she, could feel everything he had felt. One time, she tripped and stumbled, and Biru got so flustered and frustrated that he repeatedly stamped his hoof. It even took him a few moments to realize that he was that deeply connected with her.
He knew the bond would have its ups and downs. They would never be lonely, but neither could really get their privacy. He assumed they would probably talk it out, and figure out how to maintain the right relationship. However, at this age, she was nothing but annoying. Biru smiled as she bounded up beside him, throwing her velvety antlers around as they approached another herd land. It was lush with greenery, water roaring off in the distance. No doubt a beautiful place. Even Anna stooped down to grab a bite of the lush grasses as they moved along. Biru stopped near a small brooke, allowing Anna and himself to take a drink of the cool, crisp water. Biru let out a long, bellowing call, allowing the residents within to know. He wasn't here to cause harm. He was here to learn, and to make an educated decision. "Here goes nothing..." He thought. Anna, who was beginning to understand words, bounded next to him, pressing her small, fragile body up against his right leg, rubbing her head lovingly against the taught muscle.
