Dark ears slid back against her head as the boy insisted that the gods were not real. "What do you know?" She thought to herself as she stared at him. He wasn't a native so he didn't understand how important the gods were here. He wasn't here when the gods had disappeared and the sun didn't rise and the moon didn't rise and time seemed to stand still. "You're wrong." Aylin finally spoke. "You weren't here. You didn't live it..." He probably thought she was babbling like an idiot now. "When the gods disappeared the Sun didn't rise and set and neither did the moon and the stars. The gods might have been like you say they are in your home, but they're different here." They were vital and without them everything stopped. They weren't just immortal birds with magic but she was already beginning to suspect that she wouldn't be able to change his mind or make him see just how wrong he really was.

She could continue on about the importance of the gods and risk angering the stallion that called himself Argen, or she could let the conversation die. She chose to let the conversation die and wished him luck on his journey. Only part of her truly hoped that he would find what he was searching for. The other part of her hoped that he ran into one of the gods and they corrected him for calling them birds with wings.

"We are all born on journeys. Have you found what you are looking for in this Helovia?"

Her ears tilted forward again as Argen posed his question. "I'm not searching for anything." She murmured. "Not anymore." She knew where her mother was, all she had to do was go to her. Whether or not that happened was up in the air.
