Pale blue eyes flicked towards where he lingered, the reflection of bright sky girt with many intricate hues of green, shimmering around her, pristine and pure; and the stoic nature of Hector’s ivory embellished expression softened instantly. He was a sucker for feminine grace- even that shown by one so young (as she appeared initially to be), and couldn’t help the slight tweak of smile as it startled his still lips, as she seemed to size him up. Naturally his figure was an awesome sight, but for the benefit of her pretty fluttering gaze, the stallion opened at once his enormous wingspan towards the heavens above; stretching, flaunting, flecks of fire-like golden shimmering as the sun beat down upon them, and twisted his neck ostentatiously to display the matching fire tattoo rising along his throat.

Hector wasn’t cursed like many with arrogance. His show was harmless, if not a little exaggerated for her viewing pleasure.

As extended tendons recoiled and the rippling sinew beneath his glossy copper coat began to settle, the soldier found his own attention draped across the conical example of ethereal beauty, of timeless perfection and grace; the glowing sapphire horn atop her brow. It was an attribute they’d both been blessed with and he couldn’t help but admire how lovely hers was. She laughed finally, almost awkwardly, but Hector didn’t mind, he chuckled reassuringly and thrust a powerful knee upwards, thrashing in turn with a solid, round hoof at the waters stilled surface. "Well met Sia. I am he, yes." Fondly he peered down at his desert-sister.

As she began to move towards him, limbs paddling, visible in the crystal clear pool, the chestnut moved a little from her path and folded down quivering feathers to rest snug by his flanks. Still though, there were trees too close around them for him to truly clear the way, and her sodden frame spilt across the muddied bank beneath his (unavoidably, inadvertently) domineering height. He shuffled about her awkwardly until a little more space could be given and eventually their eyes came to meet.

Sikeax apologised and Hector’s nostrils rattled thoughtfully. She needn’t have... "No hard feelings," he offered as tenderly as he ought, turning in unison with her own eyes as they wandered clear to scan the landscape surrounding. The grove’s light shade brought evening upon them far quicker than expected, and he noticed the subtle illumination of her horn, its delicate glow decorating her soft features in almost ghostly light. "After you..." He gestured with one wing for her to lead the way- naturally he would guard her, and began quickly to survey the area for other movement. "Tell me," the stallion asked also before stepping away, "What role do you play back home?"
