As the days after her challenge dragged on, Kahlua tried to make sense of what had happened. Res and Aly had been kind enough to heal her of her physical injuries but all of their kindness could not heal her mental wounds. She had killed a companion. Friends insisted that it wasn't true or that it wasn't her fault. They said that she could not have helped herself or that she was only acting defense; however, none of their consolations made the queen feel better about what she had done. She was a murderess, it was a fact and a new nightmare to haunt her every night.

Every waking hour, Kahlua spent questioning whether or not she was even worthy of being queen any longer. How could she lead this band of peaceful horses- horses she had demanded be peaceful before she had allowed them in- when was nothing but a common low life. Could they trust her to make good decisions for them all? How could they look at her as queen and not just think of what she had done every time she walked near? And every time she dreamed, Kahlua only saw her hoof flying backwards and hitting the snake, diving into the reptile's flesh and sending her flying through the air, Shilva landing on the ground motionless... She shook her head, trying to rid herself of the image that played for her now in the morning as she woke. It hardly helped.

A voice she knew well called out into the air and, despite her depression, Kahlua seized the opportunity to escape from her castle of misery. Indeed, she felt very much like her mother and father in their Cathedral of isolation. Walking slowly from her own copse of trees to the area she knew Dragomir to stay in, Kahlua hung back in the trees as she watched Semira and the darling Nasreen join Dragomir. Stopping, Kahlua suddenly kicked herself for arriving. Dragomir had been suspiciously absent after he ran off several weeks past and Kahlua was not even sure she was wanted. Besides, what had she been thinking trying to join a group of her friends? She would dampen all of their moods with her murderous soul. So, instead of introducing herself, she hung back in the shadows, shifting back and forth, trying to make some kind of decision about what she was was supposed to do.

OOC| Kahlua is poorly hidden in the shadows near-by, certainly making noise as she hems and haws back and forth. Feel free to interact with her :D
