It was a beautiful summers day, one of those days where it’s just to wonderful to stay cooped up within the walls of home. It was a day for adventure, a time to explore and perhaps meet new faces here and there along the way. Proud in his new role of a soldier rather than a thief, the Valiant warrior found peace within his mind. Though it had been a decent amount of time since he had touched face to face with battle, he still withheld many skills from his home, from his squadron. Sleek defined muscles roll smoothly across his chest as hooves of gold connect with the earth, pushing his large mass up the side of the mountain. Most would probably fly, to reach this spectral of a place- but he needed the work out and instead unfolded his wings, outstretched and to his sides, twisting and winding to maintain his balance on the narrow path.

Etched gold marking that flared upon his chest withheld a flaxen glare as the sun bounced and danced upon them; beaded sweat dribbling thick nape with crevices and curves upon his already smooth pelt. Golden eyes flash against the rays of light as they beat down upon his skin, hooves act as daggers puncturing the emerald blades that tickled past his onyx limbs. Upon reaching a clearing, dual toned feathers ruffled with the sudden burst of mountain air that slammed against his breast- wings tilt, allowing a horizontal flow as the air brushes smoothly across his feathers like butter to bread. Alone, but taking note of others whom emerged in the distance he shoved them to the back of his mind as he gave a mighty thrust of his wings before contracting them to his ribs. Legs shifted, hooves lifting and following suit as he moved quickly into a smooth gallop across the rolling fields; the wind brushing across his blazed face as he dawned his lips with a smile.

"And shepherds we shall be." His voice but a whisper, a reminder of home; "For thee, my lord, for thee." Lyrics a song of his lineage, bound to the souls of his brothers; wings unfolded swiftly- and in a few swift pumps legs leapt froth from the earth and curled to his chest, as feathers stretched and pushed against the atmosphere carrying him swiftly, rapidly shooting him across the sky, only feet above the ground.

Even adults, need play sometimes.

Though the reckless normally pay with karma, the winds off the mountain were not correctly calculated; and as gravity goes what goes up; must come down.

Golden eyes flashed with the emotion of shock and pain as the loft of wind bursts up from the valley below him, tossing his left wing vertical and naturally, the other followed suit. Hooves reached out and legs tensed to brace for a rough landing, a groan of anguish erupting from his lips as he connected with earth, front hooves buckled and sprang back in a buck to help recoil some of the fall, as he looked like a cinched bronco trying to gain his bearings. How amateur of him to make such a stupid mistake. Trotting it out, lobes cupped and sharp- pinned back against his skull. Annoyed with himself her turned to gaze upon his wing as it was sore, but thankfully not broken. Silver strands of silk brushed across his face as the winds seemed more relaxed upon the plain.. Perhaps it was best if he remained on foot. "What rubbish!" He grumbled aloud to himself, posing firmly to reach around and groom his wounded wings and mend his feathers.
