Mara looked at the bird with large silent eyes. Eyes that said we could be friends, but also we could kill each other. Given the course that their bonded's had placed themselves on, it was probably better that it was the former. But...well. You never know. Nodding, the steel coloured snake streaked forwards, sliding her tail into the open clutches of the zephyr. She had flown many times with Gaucho, but always wrapped around him, never like this. Sssss she hissed softly, wanting to be away from the inevitable dance that was about to take place.

Then don't stop. Please?

The desperation in her voice went unnoticed. A more emotionally available creature might have noted this longing - noted her need, and responded to it in a way that would be meaningful. Perhaps with words or trinkets. Actions that displayed just how he felt about her. But Gaucho didn't know how he felt about her, no matter how many times Mara insisted, and he simply wasn't the sort of creature who would noticed the need her words were laced with. But he wasn't completely stupid to her, there were certain things he did understand perfectly well.

The bone piercing his nose danced and stroked the length of her unmarred flank, as if tracing some invisible pattern. He did this with an astute forethought - pausing and pressing where he thought it might force shivers from her body. He dwarfed her petite form, especially as he began to move around her - his neck elegantly curved inwards, cresting with masculine appeal. It felt right to be with her in this way, but also familiar. But familiar how?

Familiar why ?

But of course, that certainly wasn't what Gaucho was thinking about at this current moment....

Gaucho flanks moved steadily with each deep, and satisfied breath. One of his wings was thrown casually across Sohalia's wither, burning brightly but heatlessly. The act was more for her, than for him. His mind had already begun to wander, but he understood that closeness was likely something she still needed. Although he couldn't place why, he understood this. But perhaps more surprisingly, he gave what he thought she needed willingly, if only briefly.

His stormy gaze surveyed the skies. He still had the cloth from Thranduil, the Golden Prince. He would need it to find those who had wronged him. Scattering his gaze now upon the ground, he noticed that Mara and Sohalia's bird-thing had gone, yet could feel the mental tug of their bond not far away. Grunting, he leaned into her body slightly, moving his nose along her neck, and holding it just behind her cheek.

"Have to go." He whispered, gently nuzzling her. "Have things to do..." He continued, although unhelpfully and ambiguously.

He moved away from her, flaming wings spread from his sides. Following the pull of Mara's connection, he set himself a course to pick her up from the bird, before departing. Stepping forward, something halted his stride almost immediately. Uncertainly crept into his features, as he cast a glance over his shoulder at Soh.

"Gaucho come back, Soh." He offered evenly, his deep tones remarkable sincere.

And then, he was gone again.
