Each day was a new adventure waiting to happen and the brindled colt was eager to take each new challenge head on. Much had been seen in the last couple weeks but regardless what he had encountered the day before there was always something new to see. While his last journey had not been his best idea in the world he hoped that today would make up for it. Traveling north from his home he headed up into the unknown excitement bubbling inside for what may lay in store. The further that he traveled the colder things seemed to get making him tuck his wings in closer to his frame for the warmth of his downy feathers. With each breath he was fascinated to discover that he could actually see his breath up here! Living down within the Edge he had never experienced something so neat, perhaps it was from the white fluffy stuff littered across the ground he mused.

Kicking up his heels just for fun he cantered forward a number of steps before voices seemed to echo from every direction. Looking around in confusion he tried to figure out where they were coming from? Trotting forward a small group finally came into sight making a grin cross his face. People!! And they were his size!! So far on his adventures he had yet to come across many others around his age so this was a pleasant surprise indeed. Flicking his tail in delight he approached studying each of the trio with keen interest, no wait there were four! All had strange sticks or something coming out of their heads but then he caught sight of the black colt's tail..or was it a tail? "Hello!" He called as he reached the gathering perking his ears forward as his voice echoed back at him.

"What do you think you're doing children?!" Looking to the filly who spoke he couldn't help but think that she was a little strange. Horns grew from her head making him think of a deer, where did she get those from he wondered. Children? She didn't look much older than the rest of them yet she sounded as if she was mimicking one of the adults. As his gaze turned back to the others he recognized the bay spotted one from his encounter with the lava mare. He really didn't like her much after what she had said to him but she seemed to have taken a liking to him for she gave him the shiny orb. Mild jealously simmered below the surface before he pushed it away, it was not this colts fault. "I'm Aeolus, Who are you? He finally questioned directing it to everyone with a friendly smile.
