“Oh, let's do!” The painted girl responded almost immediately to Nasreen's request to go flying. Having gotten over her initial fright of the concept, the whole idea was very romantic. And to go with Nasreen, who would not chastise Kahlua for letting her inner child roam free... Well, the idea was almost too grand to bear. Perhaps that was why the queen loved Nasreen so very much, though. Resplendence was her sister in all but blood, but Res was always there to offer a watchful eye and remind Kahlua not to get hurt. Alysanne was amazing, her heart and soul equally pure, but Aly was so mature that Kahlua sometimes felt too childish around her. But with Nasreen... Oh, with Nasreen she could let her heart run free. She could be young again and not worry one bit about being too overwhelming or childish. And when Nasreen responded affirmatively that she would be the Seer of the herd, watch over the Edge's business and commune with the goddess... Oh, Kahlua nearly bounced from her hooves, pressing up against her friend in jubilant devotion to the newest member of your council. Kahlua followed her immediately into the sand then, to trot about and otherwise act merry. How long had it been since she had been this exuberant, effusive, emotive? It was too long- it just felt right. To wear her heart on her sleeve, to show her friend and gods what she knew in her own soul... Why would anyone ever want to hide their feelings? And so the queen laughed merrily at Nasreen's question- there was no mocking in her voice, for how could the queen mock her newest best friend? No, the laugh was happy and excited, full of possibilities for the future. “Well you'll be on our council, to help Kaj and I make decisions when we need it. And to help trials, if we ever have to hold one. But most importantly, you'll get to talk to the Lady Moon herself, to carry her word back to the herd!” And Kahlua prattled on for a minute about how the Moon Goddess would appear in the mists of the Edge, only to the eyes of the Seer, and divulge information or secrets or her wishes for the herd. And how Nasreen would then have to relay that information back to the herd. Also, how she would be the head of any philosophers in the herd. Oh, and the most important thing... “She'll grant you magic!” And Kahlua waited excitedly, patiently, hoping that her friend would not change her mind now that she knew all the responsibilities that came with the position.
