Ophelia the Forsaken
Ophelia stood and listened quietly, understanding the purpose of what he wanted. He was trying to show her that even without her magic, she had more influence than she believed. While Phi believed that to a degree, she did want the magical insurance of control. The task he gave her was also going to be very difficult, as she was not naturally manipulative. She would have to use all of her cunning and even her mind reading in order to ensure that they did not realize what she was doing. Very quietly, she bowed her head deeply, to him in reverence. She was still unsure about how she felt regarding his mind change. Part of her was relieved that she never had to worry about him hating her, but another part was admittedly still a little upset. Was she supposed to forget how much he ignored her previously? The memories still stung. "I understand and will do my best," she replied honestly. "And I will not return until my tasks are complete." Now, she had to travel and immerse herself again. Ophelia let out a deep breath. This was going to be difficult.... |
