The Island was frothing with life. The hum of voices and clatter of activity lifted through the atmosphere, stalking the colt as he ventured to escape; relentless, overwhelming. Small ears perched with very definite aversion atop the little pointed poll of the boy- it was all too much for one so naturally timid (and awkward) to bear. “A cloud brought me here too...” Kari informed his multicoloured company plainly, thin leg extending so that he could lean closer to the Earth God’s trinket and inspect it with his most discerning blue eyes. He drew a short breath to hold as widening nostrils were lowered, and soft, warm lips brushed across its cold jagged surface whether or not they were allowed. “Y’know...” the colt began again with reserved tone, still focused intently on Dragomir’s present, “...I think he’ll really like this. Kinda looks like the Meadow down there. Don’t y’think?” At last the little grey face withdrew, skull nodding, though truly he had not the slightest idea who the stallion was referring to. As far as Kari’s gifted (though still considerably narrow given his immaturity) perspective was concerned, the God of the Sun was the be all and end all. There were no others... After the painted horse had spoken again, the colt shuffled back a little so that his careful gaze could better accommodate the entire being before him. “Yeah, I remember.” he lied, shrugging casually and offering a small boyish smile to suit. Kari was not wildly sociable, he much preferred his own company- that was perhaps all he had the emotional capacity to deal with. There was something that drew him to Dragomir though, literally; the yearling sighed and stepped nearer to the stallion’s side. “So where are we going anyway?” he asked crudely, expecting apparently that they would continue together to wherever it was the older Equine was headed... |
