Rei had caught a strong scent of the dry sands of home blown to her on the wind while she still gallivanted across the island. The land that belonged to the sky hovered over the wrong section of Helovia for the scent to be so strong. Meaning that her herd had to be gathering on the island. Could it be a herd meeting?

It would be the first since she joined Dragon's Throat. Rei had to be there for it! Her spots rippled as her muscles flexed, pushing her body from the ground and into the sky quickly making her way towards the iron spears that guarded the Throat's tent.

Once she arrived Rei hesitated before stepping past the spears that reached towards the sky as if they wished to impale the sky itself on their pointed ends. She wished someone would use one to prod her forward.

Rei had been stricken by a case of shyness as she observed her herd-mates milling about. Many of them had never met her before, she had to prepare herself to make a wonderful first impression.

The laughs that bubbled out from the meeting place shattered the shell that had began to form itself around Rei. Laughs contain all sorts of magic unlike any other that could be possessed, yet all who let it in could cast its spell.

With her confidence regained Rei approached the meeting, "I hope that I haven't missed all of the fun!" Rei called out to all gathered as she walked in. She figured that if she greeted them all in some way or another that someone was bound to acknowledge her.

It was one of the first times she had seen Africa in action as Sultana. The mare had grown to be a dear friend to her and it warmed her heart to see that Africa didn't behave any different while leading those that she ruled over than how she acted among a few friends. She thought that Africa seemed to glow with the joy of being able to introduce her herd to such a promising new land. It was a contagious feeling, Rei felt herself grow antsy. She wanted the entire herd to experience the island together as Rei, Africa, and Nasreen had. It had been a bonding experience, and there was nothing that Rei wanted more than to bond with the Dragon's Throat members.

Listening to those who were without wings speaking about their trip to reach the island Rei took a pause in the conversation as an opportunity to join in on the conversation "It is thrilling to find yourself in the sky for the first time isn't it? It is a feeling that you will never forget, and the breathless feeling that you get whenever your hooves kiss the sky is a thrill that never fades."

Settling back on her hooves Rei contentedly basked in the presence of those she considered family. To her there were only two types of members: those that she had met and loved, and those that she loved but hadn't met yet.
