Had he told her he would fix it for her? Of course she had forgotten, and she smiled at her silliness, ears flicking towards him with interest as he carried on about not knowing how to make them work longer. And while she certainly had no ideas in her head, she mused aloud about it. “I wonder if Dragomir would have ideas. He's rather thoughtful that way.” And while Ulrik was inspecting the scorpion, seeing what damage had been done to it, Kahlua's mind was drifting off to the ropes that Dragomir had been teaching her and some others to make. While she doubted rope would be particularly useful in this instance, she was certain their new Glazier would have some other idea.

But for all of her idle thoughts, when the rough-around-the-edges unicorn began his work Kahlua's mind went blank and her face displayed her longing, all of her raw emotion painted upon her face. Oh, to be able to meld glass again, to mix and swirl the mists into solid form, to see the design in her head and then make it reality. Nostalgia dragged her nose down to handle of the glass basket, which she blew softly upon. For all she had made for her herd, the basket was the only thing she had made for herself. But when he was done, his words broke the spell that had been cast over her and she lifted her head to return his smile, even if he never really did look happy about it.

“I will, thank you,” she cooed softly, certain that she would remember this lesson for the next time and not get so broken up about the whole situation. Then, just as she was about to reach down and grab the basket, in a moment of uncertainty about what she was supposed to do next, she was commanded to 'hold on'. Lifting her head, turning to Bellona with a curious expression on her face but finding the pegasus preoccupied, Kahlua returned her gaze to the tent flaps just as the beast reemerged.

And whatever she had imagined he was doing in her simple little head was nothing like the gift that she was given when he was doing working. Tilting her head in curiosity, she was quick to press the button that was presented so plainly on the little box and was subsequently rewarded with what she regarded to be a simple perfect little song. Did he know she loved music? “Oh, it's perfect!” she cried out joyously and before she knew what she was doing she was bounding forward, around her basket, to press her head against his neck, if he hadn't thrown himself backward or skewered her on her way forward. Truth be told, she would have rather thrown her nose over his withers but his much taller frame would have made it awkward.

Ah, if death was her wish, she was certainly inviting it. Unfortunately, the queen had long ago decided that all crafters were good of heart- even those of the Basin. Where exactly she got the idea was unknown, but it was certainly not serving her well now as she showed no fear of the grungy, grumpy weaver.
