It came as no real surprise that his faithful pet tagged along as his shadow, mumbling happily beneath his breath. The King reached out to fondly nudge his dirty neck, ears perking forward as they all, in one way or another, promised not to die. Deimos and Korra remained silent, but he didn't fault them for that. That they both had answered his summons, and stuck around, even come to this small gathering, was a blessing in itself, and briefly he sought for their gazes, wanting to convey his thankfulness without embarrassing them with words.
That Seiren was so taken with Lloyd came as a surprise to him, and he raised one 'brow in a cool, amusement expression, before glaring at Alan. "Drop it, Alan," he rumbled at her, knowing the mare had a wicked tongue and a cruel sense of humor. But beneath all that, she was still a loyal warrior, and racist to the bone. He needed her. But he couldn't let her get away with insulting Seiren. Mauja snorted slightly. Mares. "I'm glad there's no questions. Now, I'll leave you to... practice tactics."
