Friends? A flinch of the golden’s smile slides, but he picks it right back up as the exit the arch. The golden son was glad this little charade was going so well, but let’s not get carried away. This wolfish creature was brought here only to make his lady happy and keep the tradition of trouble going, not because he was friend. The golden son did just well without friends. Less complicated. None were kept close to the gold’s true colors, for none could fully understand what they were. Besides the black wolf had not taken the hint and let slip his name. Blackie it was. Keeping up appearances the gold nods to the wolf creature as a dark figure begins to move up from them. They were indeed in luck, his lady came to greet them.
His lady comes with all the simple smiles and grace she classically kept well. Apparently though none was reserved for him. That glace slides over to him with a sharpness he knew too well, and he knew what was coming. Still, it was in her usual honeysuckle sweet coating as it was so attune to his own inner language that it barely stung. If she would rather believe he was trying to avoid the snow and cold, which wasn’t a complete lie, then let her. Far better than the truth that the pale Pegasus had been a dead end. So the earth eye winks at her and then turns to look with at the new comer.
Now this black devil was as good as accepted, so the sugar than ran from his lips made the gold’s tassled tail flick back and forth. It was over kill really, but he knew his lady would lap all the glory due to her new rank over this boy. Having hoped to find the creature’s name in this mixing of these exchanges, he is disappointed for it to not be brought out so easily. Still, in offering his services to his lady the gold was curious enough to hang around. Would he have another in his already numerous rank? Seriously, the phantom rank was getting a little crowded. All would be revealed soon enough though. For now the gold was content to stand beside this new charge and feel the accomplishment of bringing fresh meat to the Basin.
