It almost made him sick. No not the stampede, before that. He watched his lady receive the complements like purring cat from her prey. It took all he had not to roll his eyes. Of course he understood it, he too had played to her likes. Still, this was a little too friendly and thieves are not fond of being third wheels, nor this one of letting dutiful school boys keep his company. Hind hock cocks and tassled tail shifts back in forth. Even still Blackie did not give his name, nor his lady ask. She begins her sugar sweet reply, but fate interrupts.

If you can call it fate. Hell perhaps? A low roar of thunder is heard in the distance. Strange to have storms this far north at this season. Golden head turns out of curiosity, and finds the low dark cloud. Harks lift and body moves to alert. That was no storm. Nares reach forth and pull at the air. Knives of intensity, sweat, and bitter blood come washing over him. Twins horns pull back, harks pin, and nares snort out the despicable scent of fear. A rumble builds in him as the golden shifts in his place, forgetting his lady and Blackie. At last the animals crest the hill and come stampeding past. This was not right, it was not natural. Ready to move to some dark shadow from this menace and whatever more horrible threat perused them.

His lady breaks the selfish thoughts. Her sharp words turn to him as a general. The gold looks to her, having to cover his smile. Though the terror coming towards them begin to make those gold limbs dance under him, his lady was relying on him. He was needed. Now this was not a happy feeling for need of a family member, this is a happy moment for being one step closer to his goal. One step closer to causing more chaos and worry than even this moment. Death was at the doorstep, how in the world could this man be happy? The golden son was incredibly gifted at many things, but best at getting himself of trouble. This was not exception. What of the herd? What of it. If blood debt was to be paid the gold, even for his golden coat, was most excellent at slipping out without notice. Hard facts, but truths. He would run before falling for this mad bunch. Still, he would play along for now, a goodly servant, taking a debt that even his worse trouble could not fill. The gold dips his head, and with one last look back to the oncoming storm of blood and animals, he leaps forth towards the eastern bounds of their kingdom.

Oh right, Blackie. Harks lean back slightly. To feel the hero role was such a powerful force, why in hell did he have to have a side kick. Growling slightly he looks back to see the creature beginning to follow his lady. She would be the last to the caves, and certain to be searching for Deimos, their Reaper. Not the place that wolf man should be. Well, not where the golden thought he should be, not that close to his lady. Flirting was one thing, this quite another. Rolling his eyes the gold changes course to that wolf creature. Lips open to reveal ivories that reach out and nip the thick coat of bone blade. “With me Blackie.” Snorting and tucking his Spanish head back in the gold kicks up the pace for the east. Any met were nipped and pushed to the healer’s cave, roared at of the oncoming danger, or were already headed there. With it going so well the gold could not let his dark sense of humor show. “You know, if we’re going to die some deep dark tragic death, might be best to know your real name Blackie.” A wild grin looks back to the black, awaiting the reply. A lingering mare grabs his attention soon after though and the gold snaps her towards the healer’s cave.

Around they went about the Basin, making a circle coming to the healer’s cave. The same feeling persisted as he tossed over to look back at his charge. “Keep up now, hate to see our first race null for you slacking on this one.” A dark laughter rolls forward. The golden did so love the chaos about him befalling this land, and especially those who were destined eventually for it by his own hand. What’s better, he was allowed to intentionally snap unicorns in line. Fabulous day really. Looking over once more he called out. “Quick ‘under attack’ version of the Basin tour.” He looked to each feature as he named it, his dark additives said more sarcastically then they might should have been. “There is the lake, and seer’s cave. Across the way is the hot springs, and residence caves, pity you didn’t have time yet to find one.” Gold coat was turning dark and even his breath coming hard and stressed by this run. “And there-is out destination-the healer’s cave.” Slowing to slip into the cave’s full mouth the gold looks back at the wolf man. “Keep close, don’t want you getting too crowded.” Twin horned head tossed back to look as the first animals began to cross the borders. Faltering on ice. In a more serious note, the gold slipped inside the cave. His lady should be proud though, he didn’t make one move to cause more chaos than was already running into their borders.

OOC :: My apologies....I got carried away. XD Plus Thranduil is such a weird man about this whole thing. XD
