Even the love of chaos can not stand up to the power of the stampede as it races through the Basin. The golden son looks out from just under the cave’s protective shadow and watches the animals with a close eye. He would rather had been pushed back, tucked away from this view and reality. It was not that it scared him, no the gold would never admit that. More so, it was the reality of their fear that dampened his fun like storm clouds on sunny days. With a heavy sigh he shifts about. A few stray animals makes the foolish mistake and coming towards the cave to escape the others. Quickly the blood thirsty soliders of this valley enact out the vicious justice for the disturbed peace. Even his gilded lady finds a warm body to stab her horn through. As for the golden such dirty work threatened to ruin his fun even more, so was avoided. Besides, there was enough soldiers for the job.

At last the stragling stampede comes to an end. The last few animals crest the valley and now the gold pays more attention. What on earth could have startled those poor creatures to much a suicidal race. Northing crests the hill though. Even as they last animals leave the Basin, and the warriors of this land go to finish off those who still struggle, no fearful beast makes itself known. Then makes the dampened gold even more uneasy. Tassled tail flicks back and forth and dorsal stripped body stands tense and twitchy. His name, breaks the spell. A practiced ease slips back over the gold like a perfectly fit suit, as he turns to look at his gilded lady. Blood laces her armor, and the strain of the fight drenching her coat in sweat. She calls to the golden and his charge. Looking to the black creature the gold nods and moves towards her.

Moving dead things. A groan is silenced in his throat, though barely. It was bad enough to be sent to kill those still struggling, but to clear the land of bodies was not usually part of the golden son’s job listings. Still, his lady would be obeyed, though seriously she would pay for this part of it one day. Moving out, the wolf man finally speaks up. With interest the golden looks back. A smile grows on his lips as at last the black creature gives the name Vale. It turns out blackie, for the name seriously had begun to stick with the gold, had many of the same thoughts as he. What caused this race to death? What could be so fearful as to make creature run to death? The gold looks to his lady, earth eyes leveled in a hard serious concern for once. Then he breaks it though, let her answer it if she could. The golden himself knew she knew not. Her own fear could not be hidden when the stampede first began. Still perhaps she would call on their God and demand an explanation, could the gilded lady do that? The gold did not doubt she did not have the inner core to stand up to him.

For all waste, and death of this accursed event there was, the gold realized a benefit. Thranduil was not a meat eater like some of those more vicious of the herd, but that was not all animals offered. As the golden son came to the first animal, a doe, his hoof kicked it and saw it roll in a near unnerving way. Harks pin back, looking at the brown and white coat. Future plans stir purpose to the event. He had made hides of the wolves, but he had also seen a precious warring material that could be gained from them. Leather. Looking back at his lady and blackie, the golden waits to hear if she replies. His plans were growing certain though. Perhaps five or so of the deer would be enough, and he could stash them behind the rocks, till he had time to skin them with his teeth, hooves and horns. Still, he paused looking back at the two and streams of red and death. For once a shiver ran down the golden man’s spine, and it settled eerily within in.
