'Someone follow.' Tallis alerted his bonded as he flew back toward her. 'Big.' It was hard for him to miss the big stallion as he zipped through the trees gathering the sticks that his bonded had wanted. The dragon was tempted to circle around and try to place himself behind the stallion and singe his massive butt for following him, but the mental pull of his bonded kept him from doing so. She chastised him as he flew back to her, reminding him that they were still within the Edge's territory and it would be unwise for him to attack one of her own herd mates. He begrudgingly agreed as he dropped the pile of sticks and set flame to them so his bonded could warm herself.

It was only a few moments later that the large stallion that Tallis had warned her about made his presence known with a soft rumble. Evangeline's gaze lifted from the small fire to the stallion and she looked at him with a guarded expression. He was unknown to her, though his scent was that of the Edge. She could even detect the lingering scent of Kahlua and Kaj, however faint it was. "Hello." She murmured. As she greeted the stallion Tallis took his place on her back. His expression was far less trusting than his bonded's.

"I’m Thor… and I don’t believe we’ve met before."

"I don't believe we have. I'm Evangeline."As she spoke she shifted closer to the fire. The distraction had stopped her from gathering bigger limbs as she had intended to stoke it and the smaller sticks were already dangerously close to being burned up. Her head turned and she looked at the dragon perched on her back. "Go find some more sticks. I'll go in a bit to find some bigger limbs to keep the fire going." As the dragon lifted himself into the air and flew away Evangeline turned back to the large stallion. "You followed my dragon. Why?"
