“More like murdered.” The golden coat steps from the arch just behind the gathering. His horns held high and proud, the cold wind of the north blow up at his vanilla locks, all topped with a wicked grin upon his maw. The gold had been waiting for these little ones."Though, shredded is more fitting." The spy had done his job, and knew near all there was. Now before his lady, he would prove his worth yet again (and hopefully his presence here not in the Throat would be washed away). Having met Krieger by the lake that day seasons ago as he returned bloodied from mutilating the poor bird with blue feathers, he knew of the large brute’s intent for his children to join him here. Judging by their looks, using a Pegasus for a punch bag was not his only ill deed done to the mares of Helovia. A smirk rises, of course. Trust big horses to have big….needs.

That was not all the golden son knew. The gold had also found himself there by the arch not long ago when the white and red mammoth met his much needed end. By panthers, tigers, and horn oh my! It had been such a lovely show of magic and power. Not that the gold bloodied his hooves, but it was of note, the Basin’s tiger herself had join in the feast of blood, which, if the gold remembered, was out of her bounds. The most interesting development though was that crème and blue bird, the owner of the blue feather he sought. And more importantly, her scent had been caught, of rainforest, clarity, and earth. The Hidden Falls. All attackers were unknown, but they all fit the same scent. The bird especially seemed torn for the attacker, a dual horned staggering bay.

So as the golden joined the group, noting as well the death lord’s prince and all the lovely pets, he spoke with resolve. “Krieger attacked a snowflake bird from the Falls, and” looking down at the two foals from distance lands “apparently it was not the first time.” The thought of that red maned creature doing it for love didn’t fit after all. The gold looked back to his gilded lady, his eyes a flash of gold and earth. “Rather bloody mess really.” Well justified in his mind, that blue bird had been missing an eye. Turning once more to look at the two strangers the gold speaks more pressing tone. “A feather taken from the snowflake bird, has been given by their dead father for their acceptance here.” Oh how he wanted that feather. Pined for it really. Not really because it was of value or he enjoyed displaying a defeat of the other species, but for the very fact, Krieger had protected it so. Breaking the stare with a flick of his tail the gold looks back at his lady. His proud smirks and smiles toned down. As the one the children raises a question he looks down at them again, but especially searches their features for that feather.
