It was large, it was fast. It was angry, because the loudmouthed horse was standing on her ground, in her space, too near the place where her cubs were resting. The grouchy mother had tolerated the presence, the sound of hooves, the smell of horse, but when it began to holler and make loud noises it became the last drop. She charged towards the mare on all fours, eyes gleaming angrily behind the long snout, where lips had been pulled away from massive teeth that could rip flesh and chew berries with the same ease. The bear didn't eat horses unless they were already weakened and dying or newly dead, and it was not out to hunt this time either. It simply wished to scare the trespassers away, scare them and punish them for disturbing.

She closed in quickly upon the horse, the heat of her presence radiating through the air, even from a distance. Almost able to nudge the two-colored unicorn, the force of the kick wasn't too great as it landed on the powerful chest, sturdy and padded by thick fur and the building layer of fat that would last her through the winter. The mother bear groaned from the pain of impact and snapped towards the haunches of the legs, intending to continue the surge forward and slam her great body into the horse...

Then a light appeared before her eyes, so bright that it hurt in the eyes. Pained and angered it rose up on massive hind legs, rising tall above the horse. Blindly she swatted towards the place where she thought her enemy was located, the enormous paw more than capable of bringing one of them down if it hit on the right place.
