No, no... NO! The young stallion charged forth into the fray with the young cougar. Aaron had been taking a stroll, thinking over the changes in the Foothills and to clear his young mind with the cougar's call inturpted his thoughts. It was then he saw the cougar running forward and attacking. His hind quaters bunched and he sprang into action. No way he was going to allow a cougar to harm another. Let alone the fact it was a mare. He could care less if she was equine or not. She was still someone's mother, daughter or sister. Maybe even had a mate.
He lunged forward, front hooves aiming for the ribs of the cougar and his teeth bared in pure anger. His eyes were dark, almost black showing the anger he felt inside with his ears laced back. Nothing would harm this mare, not while the dual colored stallion was there. The smell of blood seemed to ne thick in the air.
