She was no longer in the mare's mind, for she had sensed that tide which would have possibly overwhelmed her, and closed the gates shut. However, she didn't need to hear the other mare's thoughts to know that it was still pain and sadness which ran rampant thought the black horse's mind. Though Vikram supported most of Mirage's weight, Gossamer still situated herself at her other friend's shoulder and gave her a very small nuzzle of support when the mare spoke of her attacker.
It was with great astonishment that Gossamer watched Vikram leave his mare's side and stalk off to attack the dead stallion's corpse. It took her a moment or two to figure out exactly what the big half-dragon was doing but once she did she relaxed quite a bit and focused on holding up Mirage's weight without Vik to help her hold up the black mare's weight. She watched as the dragon dropped the charred corpse into the fire. It was with that last poof of fire that she relaxed more, the scent of burning flesh gone, it felt like the drama was ebbing.
