GAUCHO

I'M THE END OF A HITCHCOCK MOVIE
A LITTLE DARK AND A LOT CONFUSING.

The blue pulled ahead, and Gaucho let her. Partially it was to make her feel confident, strong, fast (not that she wasn't all of these things already), partially it was to watch her fly ahead. How he loved this view. His gaze rested easily upon her shoulders, where her wings connected. He could see the muscles beneath clench and release with a tantalizing grace, and found himself breathing in a heavy rhythm with the pulse. Not lingering there for long, his gaze swept backwards along the curve of her spine, to where dark blue-striped feathers nestled at the base of her tail. The sway of the hair and feathers distracted him each time his eyes try to peer into the darkness between her thighs, though it did not prevent his heart from racing, and quiet squeals from leaving his dark lips.

They would land and they would find the darkness that had taken over the Island, or they would find something else to do. They would --

Father?

Gaucho's stormy gaze snapped away from the alluring hind end of Ampere, and towards the sound of the voice. Flame-tipped wings fanned outwards slightly as his shoulders titled backwards slowing his flight. His daughter had grown considerably - she was no longer the lanky filly who frolicked through the sands. She bore some of the primitive markings that he did, but none of the fire (as did her new brothers). She resembled Sohalia in many ways, from the pale colour that covered much of her body, to her lithe features. Still, she was clearly a child of the WildFire.

For a moment the dun noticed the crackle of electricity in the air - that the two females with him now both possessed the same strain of magic, but the thought passed quickly. Instead Gaucho's thoughts turned to the caves, and Sohalia's shrieks when it became obvious that their daughter had disappeared. Where had she gone? This question, like her static in the air, was quickly dismissed: it didn't matter to the WildFire. Not because he didn't care for his offspring, but because she was clearly alright. Wherever she had gone, and for whatever reasons, she was here now.

"Zeno." He responded, voice rumbly and deep. "Island not safe." He advised almost immediately, nodding his antlered skull towards where the Island was beginning to burst through the clouds. "Sun God warn Throat of darkness. Gaucho and Ampere go to scout." He offered by way of explanation, as if the child was somehow entitled to one; as if she might wonder why he was not here with her mother.

"Go to Throat. Find your Mother." He said, the finality in his tone indicating that he was done speaking. She was now a princess of the Throat, just as her brothers were the princes. He ruled the land with her mother now, though perhaps she was not aware of this fact. His daughter had always been a fighter - she was strong in a way that her brothers had not yet demonstrated themselves to be - and the WildFire had always assumed she would become a warrior.

But did she have plans of her own? Who knew - Gaucho didn't, but nor did he have the time to chat just now. He and Ampere had a task to complete. Family reunions would have to wait.

With a nod towards his eldest offspring, Gaucho beat his blackened wings to his sides flying again in the direction of the Island, assuming that his daughter would follow his instructions.
