GAUCHO

I'M THE END OF A HITCHCOCK MOVIE
A LITTLE DARK AND A LOT CONFUSING.

His gaze found hers easily - likely their predicament would not be fueled by such easy sexual tension if it didn't. But it did, and it was. The blue of his gaze was nothing compared to hers, but it matched Ampere's in intensity, if not in complexity or hue. Already his thoughts of his daughter and Sohalia were distant from his mind. Easily and swiftly his mind homed in on Ampere, and his body happily followed suit. The beating of his wings brought him closer to where her form had already drifted towards the Island. He didn't need to tell her that staying in flight was the best tactical maneuver - she simply did it. Without thinking, without asking for permission, and that decision placed the Wildfire's mind at ease. Perhaps Ampere was not as precarious as he had thought. Perhaps all was well.

Gaucho flew easily next to her, his gaze surveying the Island terrain which was surprisingly free of ice and snow. Was it simply its height that allowed it to be this way? It couldn't be ... for Gaucho has seen mountains (such as those in the Basin) with summits covered in white powder. Perhaps it was magic that did this ... Raising his gaze to where the Sun peaked through the clouds, offering no warmth only bright cold light, Gaucho smiled. If there was magic keeping the cold at bay, surely it was the work of their deity. Righteousness fueled Gaucho's flight, as his mind shifted to this new perspective: it wasn't just a threat he and Ampere were investigating, it was whatever threatened to infringe on a land that the Sun God was protecting. Suddenly, it was personal.

As a whole lot of nothing appeared below them, save for creatures frolicking and idly playing. For the first time since their descent, Gaucho pulled his gaze from the terrain to look at Ampere. She was at least two wing spans away - the length of hers and his - but he could still discern many of the features of her that intrigued him so: the curve of her shoulder, the pulse of the muscles that caused her wings to beat, the depth of her gaze, the markings the trailed on her neck ... He couldn't easily let his gaze fall any farther backwards to the places that intrigued him the most if he was to keep flying straight, but that was alright. There was almost no inch of the Blue that did warrant a second look.

"Nothing here." He commented without emotion. In his antlers, Mara wrapped herself tighter, clinging to sleep as long as she could. "No worms." He added with a dark smile, as the flames on his wings flared slightly, as if in disappointment. In fact, he was a little disappointed, if only because he wouldn't get to see Ampere in action. While he was glad that there was no perceivable threat, he also missed the opportunity to show the Blue that there was no danger they couldn't overcome here.
